Influences have been diverse and we’ve made unusual connections between genres of motorcycles such as choppers, Italian singles from the 1950s, flat-trackers, café racers and competition specials. What underpins Mac Motorcycles’ philosophy though is the belief that the riding experience and the stories that go with motorcycle journeys seem to have been hijacked by technology and plastic.”

More ‘guerilla’ techniques have therefore been employed in the creation and promotion of the brand and associated media to gauge public reaction, which in these early stages is proving very positive.

It’s been four year since Yamaha introduced MT01 – A powerfull machine full of cintridictions, but the guys over at yamaha who decided to put a 1670cc v-twinn in a sportyframe atleast did something right, even if that only was with the power, with massive torque and a heavy weight the drivingexperience is what you could call brutal, as lon as you stay on a straight road that is, when it comes to cornering the 265 kilos wants your attention,

But yamaha has come up with a cure in the form of the letters SP, question is , will the öhlinsforks or the pirellitires or maybe even the red and white tank make it a killer on trackdays ? well that is something that the future holdsfor us. but for now we can settle with the paintjobb that looks nice , and the fact the if you want a starting point for your build, the new MT01 SP is a really interesting choice

It has been a while since we heard anything from Motoczysz, but the other day this statement was posted in their blog.

Im sure MC will think this over long and hard, and the question is, as I see it..
WSBK or TTXGP
TTXGP will be give needed attention in the short run, and electrical powered motorcycles will be the thing in 10 years.
Maybe that is the time span the company needs to work with in mind.
Will that path give investment? I think yes.
Will it in the long run generate money through sales?
Sales of high tech solutions yes, but I think manufacturing and large number sales of bikes will be on someone else table.
But is Motoczysz a company that aim to sell thousands of bikes? I guess not.
The TTXGP path seems good.

WSBK will keep on racing with gasoline powered bikes for many years.
But is that the arena we first will see electrical/hybrid bikes first? or GP?
It should be GP, but now in a few years, but the TTXGP is on this year.

So what does each of these paths give?
The way I see it it comes down to this, what is the long term plans for the company?
If it is hi-tech development and sales of technology, then the ttxgp path is suitable.
Involve racing aspirations, under the Motozcysz banner, both paths are open.
The C1 clearly have innovations that would make it a success in WSBK and streetbikes.
The amount of money to run a team at world level is not that great, I know from very good insight in to one of the newer teams in the series.
But on the other hand to get the money to build the 3000 bikes needed to meet the 2010 homologation rules will not be easy to find.
To survive at all maybe the only choice is to go TTXGP.

One thing is for sure, I wish MC and the crew all the of best luck, keep up the good work.
